Adding at
attribute group option is not difficult.
You will want to understand how the options work. We suggest reading the instructions below
before trying to add an option.
v
Option:
This is the descriptive name of the option. These examples are from the Medallion –
Ribbons attribute group—(1 1/2" x 32" VNeck - 1st Place)… (1
1/2" x 32" VNeck – 2008)… (1 1/2" x 32 VNeck - 2nd Place) etc…
v
Supplier
Part#: While this
does not have to be a real part number, it should be something you can use to
determine where to purchase the part.
v
Unit Cost: This is the price your supplier
charges for the part.
v
Setup Fee: The Setup Fee column will be charged
if the associated attribute group option is chosen during checkout, regardless
of the default attribute group option assigned to the product.
v
Unit Price: The Unit Price will be charged based
on the price difference using the default attribute group option as the bases
cost (the default option unit price should be included in the base price of the
product.) Thus, if the product default attribute group option has a unit price
of $5.00 and if the customer selects attribute group option with a $7.00 unit
price… the difference between $7.00 and the $5.00 default attribute group
option = $2.00 ($2.00 will be added to the product price.)
If the
attribute group option selected is less than the default option, no credit is
given. If you want a credit given the Unit Price must have a negative number;
i.e. $-7.00. This is a credit override
chooses that will apply a credit of $7.00 regardless of the Default Attribute
Group Option assigned to the product.

Image: Use the Browse... button to find and upload the
image to go with attribute option. When
editing the
current picture will show in the upper right corner.
This creates
an exact duplicate of the original. There are times when an attribute group needs
options slightly different from another option.
In such cases, it is easier to copy an attribute group option and then
edit to make the needed changes.
When you
delete an attribute group option… if the option is associated with a product as
the default option… then the first option in the list will become the new
default option (see Error! Reference source not found..) Once the attribute group option is deleted, it cannot
be recovered.
Final
Warning: Are you sure you wish to delete the selected
attribute group option?
v
OK: Will complete the delete operation.
v
Cancel: Terminates the deletion process.
By selecting the attribute group
options you can organize and make changes to a specific collection of attribute
group options. Check the attribute group
option that to be updated.
When you click on the Edit Selected
Attribute Group Options the list will be limited to the attribute group options
checked. Change the attribute group options; Option, Supplier Part#, Unit Cost,
Setup Fee, and Unit Price. Images cannot
be change on a multiple level only on an individual edit. See Add/Edit an Attribute Group
When you
copy the selected attribute group options it creates an exact duplicate of the
original.
Confirmation: Are you sure you wish to create a
copy of each of the selected attribute group options?
v
OK: When you select the OK Button the copy
process will be completed.
v
Cancel: The Cancel Button will abort the copy
process.
After you have
copied the attribute group options you will be able to identify the new copies…
each new copy will have an extension of [- Copy]
When you
delete attribute group options… if the option is associated with a product as
the default option… then the first option in the list will become the new
default option (see Error! Reference source not found..) Once the attribute group option is deleted, it cannot
be recovered.
